Term 2- 'St Joan' Costume Project

Inspiration for Joan of Arc costume, medieval painting

 Final Costume for Joan showing costume changes. Red medieval dress becomes layered with leather muscle like armour as play goes on and the stripped back in trial scene. Concepts Body armour combined with body anatomy, the colour red, and masculine vs feminine (Joan wears a man's anatomy to disguise her feminine form and then is stripped of her masculinity in the trial scene.

Term 2- Hansel and Gretel Project


Final Images 2 out of the of my 6 final images highlighting the key moments in 'Hansel and Gretel'. Images are a combination of hand drawings and collages,that are then enhanced on Photoshop.

Term 2- Puppetry Project 'The Three Men of Gotham'



'The Three Men of Gotham' Our two final table top puppets- the first and second man of Gotham (although they are more like creatures then men!) 
  
 Artist Inspiration-Scott Fife, who creates 3D sculptural heads using paper, card, glue and nails.

Term 1- Costume drawings for 'The Sea' project



 Costume Drawings for 'The Sea' Project using fine liner, ink,paint and found imagery. 

Term 1- Final set for 'The Sea' by E. Bond

 





 Final Model Box for 'The Sea' Scale 1:25, mostly made from mount board and card with small sections in wire, and then painted using acrylic. Two model figures also created using wire and sculpy technique. 


Set concept shipwrecked island feel, blue and brown colour scheme to represent hierarchy,majority of props and set made out of box shapes. The play is viewed through a frame construction (although this is slightly unrealistic!) in order to isolate this town as if it is a island.

Artist inspiration- Paul Negau. I really like his sketchy style when drawing 3D objects. Inspiration for set and drawings for this project.

Term 1- Scenic Art and Workshop

A thousand million bricks painted by hand!!! 

Section of outside of Waverley Building re-created as part of a set in workshop and scenic art sessions. 
A 1:25 scale model was created of this area and was then scaled up to life-size again.
